I have spent my whole life examining different societies throughout history and how humans are so adept at having religious or spiritual experiences. I myself have a set of practices I do as consistently as possible. Once I reached my adulthood and started traveling I also realized something else. We are not fully utilizing technology the way we could to respect each other's differences while still collaborating to create positive change. I am perfectly willing to admit I could do better myself at this. This group is meant to add to the other current efforts to change that. I am honored to learn and grow from all the people that come together in this group.

Mission

The mission of this group is to bring together people of different faiths and philosophies. We will have weekly check-ins with the goal of fostering friendship and support. No one is forced to come every week. You can decide if you want to join that week of your own volition. This group will respect the autonomy of its members and whichever faith or philosophy he or she chooses to pursue can be done during their free time. The discussions will not be a place for any member to assert that their faith or philosophy is the right one. There are only two parameters. The first is to try and have your background or your apparel not give away what faith you follow. If it is something you must wear for your faith, then that is okay. The second is you may allude to your faith during the meetings but please try to avoid using any terms that would reveal to the other participants the faith you follow. This second one is especially important while the group is new to fostering that human connection that can be found in the practice of any faith. Hopefully, by following these expectations we can be better stewards of this planet.
